It's been an odd year so far
WORK
Mostly my work schedule has been fluctuating so much I can hardly keep track of it. I was only working nights for four nights a week, leaving me time to plan things for a while. Then they knocked me down to mornings five days a week, something that through my sleep schedule completely off x_x After that they put me on three days a week with a single day off between two night shifts and a morning shift for unloading the shops delivery truck. Needless to say...my check looks pretty bad right now and I'll likely be looking for new work soon after six years with this establishment. But for those of you wondering a little about where the hell I've been, this has been playing a role.
HEALTH
The other half of why I haven't been around lately. I've had some health issues, something reoccurring that's in fact reoccurred so much that finally the Urgent Care Center had be get a recommendation to see a specialist about my particular problem. One nurse visit and some paper work later I'm now sitting here just waiting to hear back from the doctors and find out when my appointment with the specialist will be. Based on some of their ideas of what might be up, I could need some surgery in the near future to correct the problem
...At the moment though, I have cold, it settled in last night after some celebratory beers, so that's not fun.
STORIES and ART
I'm still pixeling off and on so I have a few new things in the works that might pop up soon. Sadly, my writing is still all consumed with Roleplays at the moment, so nothing new in that department unless I edit down and post up the sessions here in their paragraph format...it's a little like reading a book Not to say I haven't been having fun and to everyone that's been writing with me, you guys are the best, I've really enjoyed all the fun characters and settings and stories and all the creativity we've managed to channel and share.
THE CLOSING
Well, as I'm drawing to a close here, I'd like to ask you guys...
"What's your favorite fantasy novel or written series?" I'll go so far as to include graphic novels as well, why not? XD Go ahead and comment below, I'm curious what everyone says.

Opt-Out [Discord]
From Discord's ToS: "ARBITRATION MEANS THAT YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. In some instances, the costs of arbitration could exceed the costs of litigation and the right to discovery may be more limited in arbitration than in court. YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU AND DISCORD ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. You may, in arbitration, seek any and all remedies otherwise available to you pursuant to your state’s law." Opting out does not indicate an intent to sue Discord, but there's not reason anyone should give up a right to anything for any sort of service, so I encourage everyone to email and Opt-Out not only to protect your legal rights, but to dissuade companies from including things like this in their Terms and preserve their good faith with their customer base.

Show Less Like This
DA, which of your devs is seriously into Foot Fetish stuff? I ask because I've been coming to my feed every day (more than once a day in many cases) for over a month now. Each day I scroll through the feed on offer and click those three dots and "show less like this" on the same three types of suggestions: Foot fetish, CGI and anime screens. Yet, despite having done this for over a month, my feeds have never changed. In fact, many of the same artists and at time same pics end up back in the feed regularly for me to remove. So I ask, what is the POINT of the "show less like this" feature? Does it work? Has it ever worked? Is it an ongoing bug you haven't said anything about? Should I be submitting a report for this very basic feature? Is it just another result of just how awful your Eclipse implementation has been and showcase exactly whey we never wanted it before you forced it upon us a few years back? Who knows! I certainly don't, but I do know that I've been putting in
DA Eclipse (currently)
I made a whole list of problems with DA Eclipse when it was first forced on the site, but after some months of launch, I want to emphasize... things aren't any better here. All of the issues I had with the initial launch of Eclipse haven't been fixed, and I'd venture several more have been discovered since then. Let's talk about the issues that have nothing to do with how visually ugly the thing is, just so people don't mistake this as purely a measure of aesthetics. 1) Certain quality of life functions, even the most basic ones, are gone. I used to be able to clear a stack of new submissions and would be immediately redirected back to my new submissions list. As things are right now, I just stare at an empty stack and have to manually click back over to my Watch tab. That's something so small, that I can't believe it doesn't exist here, it just creates more busy work for the end user for no reason. The feature used to exist, and now it's just gone without any reason. 2) I

I hope once you see the specialist, something can be done for good about your recurring health issues. I take it it's the same thing you've mention in previous posts? D: And good luck with job hunting, if it does indeed become absolutely necessary. It's no fun when you need money. ;-;
And I'm glad you have roleplays, sounds like at least that's a way to keep sane and have fun?
On the book question: I've been hooked on ASOIAF lately, though I'm just now finished the second book - should be done today or tomorrow! I'm not a huge fantasy genre reader, y'know? (Though someone mentioned The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede, and I loved those in elementary school and into middle school - I reread them last year, they're hilarious and short and wonderful. )
Although I did read a manga series last year and this year - repeatedly - that has got to be at the top of my list. But it's not fantasy, and it's a comic/manga...but Nabari No Ou has consumed my life of late. It has a few fantasy elements but it's mostly about ninjas. But it's also one of the most emotional series I've ever read. I highly recommend it as long as one has a few tissue boxes to spare. /sobs quietly/
